- Senior Systems Engineer - (Position Details)

Position Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Position: Senior System Engineer
Plan and execute all IT operations of the company. Work closely with developers to design and implement database structures in PostgreSQL and Redhat Enterprise environment; Design, implementation and maintenance of web based businesses, including hosting shopping cart, image hosting, search and company intranet; Maintenance and overseeing general operations of Unix hosting servers, troubleshooting bugs, load balancing and creating a high availability environment, maintaining PCI compliance status; Based on feedback from different departments, plan and coordinate software development cycles. Test and execute code with software developers; Identify department needs in IT and infrastructure, and coordinate communication between them and CEO; Plan warehouse layout structure to increase effectiveness of shipping systems. Create facility planning diagrams to optimize shipping pick/pack lead times; Implement and optimize warehouse barcode tracking and inventory control system to integrate with company intranet; Measure and optimize warehouse performance in shipping/receiving using time tracking engineering and operational research methods; Make improvements to increase these times.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hrs/wk (8:00 am - 5:00 pm)
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum requirements – Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or related and 36 months of experience in Job Offered, or as an Industrial or Systems Engineer or related. In-depth understanding of PostgreSQL database system; ability to read/write advanced queries in PL/SQL, creating triggers, writing stored procedures and optimizing the servers as necessary; excellent understanding of web based application development in Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP (LAMP) stack, including code planning, optimization, security hardening and maintenance; experience in data mining ti implement relational database systems for company intranets; knowledge in inventory control systems and effective layout of warehouse to improve shipping performances and overall warehouse structure; theoretical knowledge in time tracking / operational research / decision making; and experience in maintaining, troubleshooting and monitoring CentOS and Redhat Enterprise.
